Wind Spirit Project

The Wind Spirit Project (WSP) is designed to aggregate a minimum of 3,000 MW of nameplate capacity wind energy from geographically diverse wind farms located in four quadrants; Alberta, Montana, Saskatchewan and North Dakota.

The wind energy will be collected by 230kV AC gathering transmission lines, and will be shaped and firmed to provide base load renewable energy that can be transported over long distances into the Nevada and California markets.

RMP expects the significant scale of the WSP will enable the project's firm renewable energy to be highly competitive with conventional base load technologies.

RMP is part owner in a project company called Grasslands Renewable Energy, LLC (GRE) which has been established for the purpose of developing the WSP. Additional information on GRE and the WSP can be found at www.gre-llc.com.

In parallel with on-going analysis of the WSP, GRE will be actively identifying and developing renewable transmission and energy firming projects that will ultimately form part of the WSP. Project reviews will follow strict investment criteria that are consistent with RMP's overall renewable energy development strategy.
