Management Team

RMP has a skilled management team with hands-on experience in electricity transmission development for
renewable energy projects. 

Lorry Wilson
Managing Director
Mr. Wilson is Past President and CEO (July 2004 to March 2007) of Montana Alberta Tie Ltd., and Past President and CEO (January 1996 to November 2002) of Power Pool of Alberta. A professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in the power industry, Mr. Wilson received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Upon graduation, he joined SaskPower where he assumed management roles for long-range systems planning for generation and transmission. Prior to his appointment to the Power Pool, Mr. Wilson was responsible for the overall operation of SaskPower's electric power systems.

Jan van Egteren
Managing Director
Mr. van Egteren was the Vice-President of Marketing for Landis Energy Corporation. Prior to joining Landis, Mr. van Egteren was the Vice President of Marketing for the Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. power transmission project.  Mr. van Egteren has also been General Manager of Lukens Energy Group Canada Ltd. and Vice President, Marketing and Transportation with ProGas Limited. Mr. van Egteren graduated with an economics degree from the University of Lethbridge in 1974, M.Sc from the University of Alberta in 1976 and M.A. and ABD in the PH.D program from the University of Toronto in 1978.

Jose Fernandez
Managing Director
Mr. Fernandez is an Industrial Engineer who began his professional career in 1975 with a commercial construction company which grew into Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Development Corporation. In 2003 he partnered with Lorry Wilson to develop the Montana Alberta transmission line and other power related initiatives.

Lee Lodge
Vice President & CFO
Mr. Lodge has over 20 years experience in finance, sales and project management. Prior to joining RMP in 2007, Mr. Lodge spent two years as the CFO of a private wind power development company focused on the western Canadian market. Previously, Mr. Lodge managed the energy project financing division for a national financial services company providing senior debt financing solutions to the Canadian renewable energy sector. Mr. Lodge holds a Masters in Business Administration from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

Peter Piliounis
Vice President, Commercial Development & General Counsel
Mr. Piliounis has over 15 years of experience developing large infrastructure projects in many industries, including energy, oil and gas, pipeline and water utility projects, in many locations around the world. He has previously worked with major national and international law firms in Canada and the United Kingdom and with large publicly-traded utility and infrastructure companies. Most recently, he was with TransCanada PipeLines where he was one of the key team members in developing the multi-billion dollar Canada-U.S. Keystone Pipeline Project. Mr. Piliounis has degrees from the University of Waterloo (BA), Dalhousie University (LL.B.) and Cambridge University (LL.M.).

Bill Kennedy
Vice President, Transmission
Mr. Kennedy has almost 40 years experience as a power system engineer.  He has worked on power system projects from 4 kV to 500 kV both nationally and internationally.  Since 1997, he has been involved in the Alberta deregulated electric industry first as employee with ESBI Alberta Ltd. and then the Alberta Electric System Operator.  Previous to that he was with SaskPower where over an 18 year career he held increasingly responsible positions ending as the transmission and interconnection planning engineer responsible for all SaskPower's transmission planning.  Since 2005, he has been a consultant to a number of clients wishing to connect facilities including wind generators to electric grids.  His engineering expertise was recognized in 1998 when he was made a Fellow of the Engineering institute of Canada.  He is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
